The standing committee of the Council of Ministers has adopted the RES bill. The bill provides for the abandonment of the existing system of subsidising on-going production of electricity from renewable energy sources in favour of an auction system. The one who offers the lowest price for such electricity will have the purchases guaranteed for as many as 15 years.

  • How is the new law going to affect the strategy of power companies?
  • Which sectors of RES are going to win and which are going to lose on the new regulations?
  • How is the elimination of the substitution fee indexation going to affect the return on investment?

These are just a few of the questions that will be answered by the speakers at the forum called "Investments, legal and financial changes – an incentive or disincentive to green projects" scheduled for 23–24/04/2014 in Warsaw.

During the forum our expert, Piotr Mrowiec, Attorney at Law, will discuss advantages and disadvantages of the planned support scheme for RES in Poland in comparison with systems from other European countries
