Hermannstadt, counting about 155,000 inhabitants, is located in the center of Romania, in the Southern region of Transylvania. The city is one of the most important cultural centers of Romania, and in 2007 it was the European Capital of Culture. Favorable geographical location, access to qualified personnel, well-developed infrastructure, with both local and international connections, backed by a functional administration system, are the main reasons for which the town attracts the attention of foreign investors, especially of those from Germany and Austria.
