IT due diligence
IT Due Diligence: Tailored to the Transaction Context
The IT due diligence is carried out according to different assessments – depending on what the acquiring company is planning. For example, should the IT of the acquired company continue to be used or migrated to a uniform system? Is a group company being separated from a group and a new IT landscape being built? Does the IT due diligence take place as part of outsourcing projects, so that IT systems and employees are taken over? Furthermore, a distinction can be made according to the areas examined, for example an analysis of the infrastructure (networks, operating systems, databases, etc.), the IT organizations (organizational requirements, personnel, outsourcing, IT projects and processes, etc.) or the degree of digitization.
Our Approach
Our interdisciplinary teams consisting of experienced auditors, tax advisors and IT experts ensure high quality in the implementation of IT due diligence projects. We first carry out an inventory of the IT systems, IT processes and organizational principles. An analysis enables an assessment of risks and opportunities. In the final assessment, we estimate the costs of the IT and its further development – and thus also provide information that should flow directly into the pricing.
