Based on a practical case study, they develop a model that links the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. The focus is on the fundamentals of professional financial modeling techniques, the business interrelationships of integrated corporate planning, and their direct implementation in Excel.

Step by step, participants develop a comprehensive model for analyzing a corporate acquisition based on a case study. The focus is on business valuation, purchase price allocation, financing, and post-deal accounting, as well as practical implementation in a financial model in MS Excel.

• Reconciliating enterprise value to purchase price while considering net debt components
• Integrated simulation: alternatives for purchase price financing
• Post-deal accounting: derivation of goodwill and presentation of initial consolidation after corporate acquisition

Impairment Modeling

Participants develop an impairment test according to IAS 36 based on a case study step by step. The focus is on the relevant accounting regulations and their practical implementation in a financial model in MS Excel.
