Immigration alert – Use of the Digital Nomad permit in Kenya | RÖDL
The Digital Nomad – Class N permit, is now operational in Kenya. The permit will be issued for a period of one or two years and is renewable to a foreigner who is not a prohibited immigrant.
Eligible applicants
- Any person with an employment contract for a company registered outside Kenya.
- Any person who is a shareholder or conducts business on behalf of a foreign company.
- Any person who offers services as a self-employed to clients who are located outside Kenya.
Requirements
In addition to the standard requirements of a permit, the applicant is required to provide:
- Proof of monthly income using bank Statements/Payslips for last three months
- Proof of accommodation such as a hotel reservation, lease/rental agreement.
- Letter of no objection from the local embassy of the home country.
Application fees
- Processing Fees – USD 200
- Issuance fees (payable upon approval) – USD 1,000 per year.
