Munich, August 18, 2025: Rödl comprehensively advised BKW Group, headquartered in Bern, Switzerland, on the expansion of its BKW Engineering division. BKW Engineering acquired, among others, AMP Parking Europe GmbH, Tropp Lighting Design GmbH, STEIN UND PARTNER PROJEKTMANAGEMENT BERATENDE INGENIEURE GmbH & Co. KG, and BERMÜLLER + NIEMEYER Architekturwerkstatt GmbH. These companies thus become part of the largest network of independent engineering, architecture, expert, and inspection companies in the DACH region.
As part of the transactions, BKW Group received legal, tax, and business consulting from a specialized, interdisciplinary team at Rödl led by Partner Thomas Fräbel. Partner Melanie Köstler was responsible for tax consulting, while Partner Alexander Awan and his team conducted the Financial Due Diligence.

About STEIN UND PARTNER PROJEKTMANAGEMENT
Founded in 2016 by Jan-Willem Stein, the engineering firm with around 75 employees operates at five locations in Germany and manages projects in areas such as healthcare, education, culture, as well as residential and hotel construction. Core services include project control, management, controlling, and procurement management – for both public and private clients.
About BERMÜLLER + NIEMEYER
Bermüller + Niemeyer Architekturwerkstatt strengthens BKW Engineering’s “Architecture & Design” business unit with its expertise in sustainable and integrative architecture. The Nuremberg office will be integrated as a new location into the network company planquadrat Elfers Geskes Krämer GmbH. Rödl & Partner already advised on the acquisition of planquadrat in 2023.
