RÖDL advises Rigol Technology on Hong Kong IPO, achieving A+H dual listing
The engagement covered all legal matters relating to the German subsidiary RIGOL Technologies EU GmbH (Rigol GmbH). The main scope of RÖDL’s services included a legal due diligence review of the German entity in accordance with the requirements applicable to the Hong Kong listing and the issuance of a legal opinion under German law.
Rigol Technology was advised by a specialized German-Chinese team led by Partner Jiawei Wang, Head of the RÖDL China Practice in Stuttgart and Senior Associate Daojie Wang from the RÖDL Shanghai office. The project was jointly executed by a multidisciplinary team from the practice group and the firm’s offices in Shanghai, Nuremberg and Milan, combining expertise from multiple jurisdictions to address both European legal considerations and Asian regulatory requirements.
Following its IPO and H-share listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (stock code: 00537.HK), Rigol Technology is now listed on both the Hong Kong and Shanghai stock exchanges. The company already maintained an A-share listing on the Science and Technology Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (stock code: 688337.SH), making it the first company in China’s electronic measurement instrument industry with an A+H dual listing. The Hong Kong offering raised approximately HKD 1.14 billion (around EUR 127 million) in gross proceeds.
