Rödl Advises the Geis Group on the Acquisition of agotrans Logistik GmbH
As part of the transaction, the Geis Group received comprehensive legal and tax advice from an interdisciplinary transaction team at Rödl, led by attorney and partner Michael Wiehl. Most recently, Rödl supported the Geis Group in the acquisition of the Quehenberger Group and the Gras Group.
The Geis Group is acquiring all shares in agotrans Logistik GmbH. With this acquisition, the Geis Group strengthens its presence in the economically strong Rhine-Main region. Hans Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis, both managing partners of the Geis Group, commented on the reasons for the acquisition: “The Frankfurt region has long been strategically very interesting for us, as it optimally complements our road network. With agotrans, we have now found the right company to specifically expand our presence in this region.”
The transaction was subject to antitrust clearance, which has now been granted.
