The acquisition of Therme Erding underscores Therme Group’s leading position in the industry and its commitment to driving the global expansion of its state-of-the-art wellbeing infrastructure. Deutsche Bank is providing one of the largest financings in the industry for a single asset.
Dr. Robert Hanea, Founder and CEO of Therme Group: “As part of our global expansion, we are confident that with Rödl as our advisor we have the right support for our pioneering projects. We are not only expanding our portfolio – we are setting new standards for how cities can integrate spaces that prioritize health, connection and inclusion, making wellbeing accessible to everyone.”
Throughout the planning, structuring and implementation, Therme Group was supported comprehensively by a specialized Rödl transaction team providing financial and tax advice. Overall project management was led by Partner Florian Kaiser, who has advised Therme Group comprehensively for many years. The tax team was complemented by Associate Partner Dr. Tobias Schädle and Associate Vanessa Spindler, as well as, for specialist real estate matters, real estate transfer tax expert and Associate Partner Martin Weiß. Florian Kaiser also coordinated the international teams in Austria, Romania and England that were involved in the acquisition and financing structure.
The Financial Due Diligence was carried out by the Transaction & Valuation Services team under the leadership of Partner Jochen Reis.
