Dr. Alexander Kutsch

Dr. Alexander Kutsch advises companies and investors on national and international corporate transactions (Mergers & Acquisitions), corporate reorganizations, succession planning, and corporate financing. He has notable experience advising international family businesses.

He completed his studies and subsequently a Doctorate of Law at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, which included a period abroad in the UK. He was also admitted as a tax consultant in 2011. In October 2012 Dr. Alexander Kutsch joined Rödl and took over the management of the legal and tax law practice in Baden-Württemberg. Since January 2024, he has been a member of the management board and is responsible for global legal advice and additionally the Asia region.

Dr. Alexander Kutsch has repeatedly been recognized as an advisor in renowned rankings. In 2025, Handelsblatt and Best Lawyers listed him as one of Germany’s best lawyers for Mergers & Acquisitions. According to JUVE-Handbuch, he is particularly recommended for M&A and transaction tax.

He lectures on current corporate law developments and is the author of numerous publications on corporate law. From 2012 to 2016, Dr. Alexander Kutsch was a lecturer in corporate succession and European law at the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management (FOM). He serves as a foundation board member and is involved in several professional organizations, including as an advisor to the International Fiscal Association.
