Dr. Hans Weggenmann

Dr. Hans Weggenmann sees himself as a trailblazer and trusted partner in tax consulting.

For over ten years, he has been in charge of tax consulting at RÖDL and has continuously developed and expanded the practice in almost all specialist disciplines – from transactions, company successions and complex restructurings to sales tax. The digital transformation of the tax function plays a central role in this.

Dr. Weggenmann advises well-known international companies on complex tax structuring and is valued by clients as a “Trusted Advisor” for tax and strategic issues.

Since joining RÖDL in 2003, he took over the management of the tax consulting division in 2011 and was appointed to the company’s management board in 2015. His doctorate on partnerships in international tax law, completed in 2002, has received several awards and is still regarded as a reference work.

Among other things, he comments in the Wassermeyer DBA, in the Wassermeyer / Schnittker / Richter on international partnerships and is the editor of an online commentary on the Reorganization Tax Act.

Dr. Weggenmann is actively involved in scientific and professional bodies: as a member of the executive committee of the Bavarian section of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), in the tax expert committee of the Institute of Public Auditors (IDW), as an advisor in tax organizations and as a lecturer at the University of Bayreuth.

His expertise in tax law has been recognized several times over many years. Handelsblatt and Best Lawyers have ranked him among the best tax law experts in Germany for years, most recently in 2025.
