Martin Wambach

Martin Wambach is an Auditor (Germany), Tax Advisor (Germany), IT-Auditor IDW (Germany), and Certified Sustainability Assurance Expert FS (Germany). As Managing Partner, he is responsible for the global Audit & Assurance practice as well as the professional and strategic development of the international auditing and consulting network German Professional Services Alliance – GPSA. He combines deep expertise in financial statement audits according to HGB, IFRS, and ISA with many years of experience in complex transformation, digitalization, and governance projects. Nationally and internationally, he is considered a recognized voice in the profession – not least through his role as special investigator for the German Bundestag in the Wirecard case and through his contributions to the professional and legal development of the profession.

Martin Wambach audits and advises internationally active companies in the areas of strategic corporate development, particularly digital and sustainable transformation with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, as well as Governance, Risk, and Compliance Management. With his clear view of risks, regulatory trends, and entrepreneurial realities, he stands for a modern, responsible, and future-oriented auditing approach that strengthens trust in markets and institutions.

Martin Wambach is involved in various committees and professional organizations. He is a board member of the Institute of Public Auditors in Germany (IDW) and on the advisory board of Solon X, the IDW’s digitalization platform. Furthermore, he is an honorary judge in professional disciplinary proceedings under the German Public Accountants Act before the Berlin Regional Court and a member of the Board of Trustees of the German Association for the Protection of Securities Holders (Deutsche Schutzvereinigung für Wertpapierbesitz e.V.). From 2008 to 2025, he was Deputy Chairman of the Institute of Auditors (IDR e.V.). In addition, he regularly participates in university formats that address questions of governance, market integrity, and the further development of the auditing profession.
