Electronic Registration

From 1 January 2026 onwards, company registrations and other registrations with the Department of Business Development have to be submitted electronically. Paper applications and walk-ins will be, according to the current understanding, no longer be possible, instead companies will have to use the electronic portal.

Companies should check that they are able to comply with the new requirements processes. Especially foreign directors will have to make sure that they can sign documents electronically via the DBD e-Services application to avoid delays in 2026.
