Minimum Wage

The Thai Cabinet has approved a set of minimum wages for the sectors construction, industrial arts, and certain service providers. Employees have a right to claim at least the minimum wage if they received a certificate from the Department of Skill Development certifying proficiency in the relevant area. The wages will take effect 90 days after the promulgation in the Royal Gazette.

The wages are as follows:

Construction (all rates are per day)

  • Gypsum board installers Level 1: THB 450; Level 2: THB 595
  • Draftsmen, THB 645 
  • Tilers, Level 1: THB 450; Level 2: THB 550; Level 3: THB 650
  • Building painters, Level 1: THB 465; Level 2: THB 600
  • Lightweight concrete masons and installers, Level 1: THB 475; Level 2: THB 575

  

Industrial arts

  • Jewelers, Level 1: THB 450, Level 2: THB 550, Level 3: THB 650
  • Furniture installers, Level 1: THB 430; Level 2: THB 550
  • Accessory makers, THB 525
  • Niello workers, THB 625

  

Service providers

  • Holistic health promotion therapist, Level 1: THB 460; Level 2: THB 475
  • Patisserie makers, Level 1: THB 400; Level 2: THB 505
  • Front Office employees, Level 1: THB 440; Level 2: THB 565
  • Food and beverage employees, THB 440
  • Hairdressers for males, Level 1: THB 430, Level 2: 500, Level 3: THB 630
  • Hairdressers for females, Level 1: THB 440; Level 2: THB 510; Level 3: THB 650
  • Elderly Care, THB 500
