– Turnover grows by 8.8 percent to EUR 451.5 million
– New offices in Uzbekistan and Brazil

Nuremberg, 27 May 2019: Rödl & Partner continues its growth course in 2018 and looks back on a successful business year. Total turnover rose by 8.8 percent to EUR 451.5 (previous year: 415) million, of which EUR 236.1 million (+ 8 percent) were allotted to Germany. The volume outside Germany increased to EUR 215.4 million (+ 9.7 percent). A key driver was again the M&A business, with Rödl & Partner surpassing the previous year's record number of accompanied transactions by a further 20 to a total of 282 in 2018.

Rödl & Partner's clients include primarily German family-owned companies with international operations. With them, Rödl & Partner grows worldwide and provides interdisciplinary support along their expansion path. Experienced teams of attorneys, tax advisers, management and IT consultants and auditors work closely together. Rödl & Partner is now represented by more than 4,900 (previous year: 4,700) colleagues at 111 own locations in 50 countries.

Business model pays off

The turnover growth was primarily based on the rising demand for complex advisory services from a single source. By focusing on globally active German companies, Rödl & Partner's very specific business model that is geared to interdisciplinary consulting, unfolds to the full benefit of its clients, even in an increasingly difficult market environment. The firm's clients also include numerous Mittelstand shaped world market leaders.

"With our DNA, we are creating our own category in the market: no other competitor is as firmly entrenched in the internationally oriented German Mittelstand as we are. We offer our clients the 'Made in Germany' standard worldwide, just as they are accustomed to doing with their customers. In doing so, we rely on personal expertise and our highly developed digital competence", explains Prof. Dr. Christian Rödl, Chairman of the Management Board of Rödl & Partner. "That will become ever more important in view of the intensified challenges in the international markets in the future”, underlines Rödl.

Outlook for the current financial year

Since the firm’s foundation in 1977, Rödl & Partner has been continuously expanding its business activities: over the past ten years, its total turnover has more than doubled.

"We continue to concentrate on the core markets of our clients and always keep an eye on the growth regions worldwide," adds Rödl. This also means that Rödl & Partner reacts quickly to changes in the general economic climate.

Notwithstanding the tensions caused by tariff, non-tariff and economic trade barriers in international economic relations, Rödl & Partner anticipates that the current financial year will also be an attractive one. This positive assessment is reflected, for example, by the opening of new offices in Uzbekistan (Tashkent) and Brazil, where Rödl & Partner is now represented at three locations (São Paulo, Curitiba, new: Campinas). It cannot be denied, however, that the business climate as a whole has cooled down. This is the result of the third survey conducted as part of the Rödl & Partner World Market Leader Index Germany.
