Munich, 19 October 2020: Rödl & Partner has supported Gebauer & Griller Kabelwerke GmbH ("GG Group"), Vienna Austria, on the carve out of its elevator business to Lafayette Mittelstand Capital by providing Financial Vendor Assistance.
Rödl & Partner assisted GG Group in its carve-out assessment and prepared a Financial Factbook presenting valuation focused key financial information of the carved out elevator business. The Rödl & Partner team was jointly led by Partner Christoph Hinz and Associate Partner Matthias Zahn who were supported by Senior Associate Michal Wilczek and Associate Glendi Maliqati.
The carve out of the elevator business was part of GG Group's strategy to focus its resources on innovation and the growth areas of the automotive industry. Thus, the elevator business, which produces cables and wires for the elevator and escalator industry, was sold to Lafayette Mittelstand Capital to ensure long-term and sustainable development opportunities for the successful business unit.
