Rödl & Partner advised Schütz Group on its acquisition of Euro-Composites

Atlanta​ / Nuremberg, 12 September , 2025: Rödl & Partner advised Schütz Group on its acquisition of the composite materials specialist Euro-Composites (EC-Group).

Rödl & Partner’s international Transaction Services Team, led by Cyril Prengel and Christian Haverney, advised Schütz Group on the Financial Due Diligence, Business Plan Review as well as on the negotiation of the financial purchase contract terms and Equity Bridge. 

The acquisition was executed as part of a restructuring of the EC-Group, ensuring the continuation of its business operations and financing. In addition, Schütz Group strengthens its market position in its COMPOSITES business segment and is safeguarding industrial jobs in the region.

The transaction is still subject to the required antitrust and foreign trade regulatory approvals.​

The Schütz Group, located in Selters/ Westerwald, Germany, operates more than 70 production and services sites globally and employes over 7,000 people. Founded in 1958 by Udo Schütz, the family-owned company is one of the leading providers in the four business segments Packaging Systems, Industrial Services, Composites, and Energy Systems, with annual sales of €2.5 billion (2024).

The EC-Group, headquartered in Echternach, Luxembourg, was founded more than four decades ago by Rolf Alter and is now one of the world's leading manufacturers of complex composite materials. Around 930 employees work at the headquarters and other sites in Bitburg, Germany, and Culpeper, USA.
