Rödl & Partner advises Elkay Interior Systems on its expansion into European and Middle East markets

Munich, 20 December 2019: Rödl & Partner advised Wisconsin, USA-based Elkay Interior Systems in the acquisition of Schloffer GmbH, an Austrian seating and décor company, and two related companies, Designed2Work and Designed2Work International. Through this acquisition, Elkay Interior Systems further expands its business and strengthens its position into the European and Middle East markets. The parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential.

A specialised international and interdisciplinary Rödl & Partner transaction team advised Elkay Interior Systems on all financial and tax transaction issues. In addition to the German Rödl & Partner team, colleagues of Rödl & Partner Austria have been involved into the process. Klaus-Martin Haussmann (Partner, Cologne) was supported by Matthias Zahn (Associate Partner, Munich) who coordinated the different work streams and was responsible for the financial due diligence. Dr. Andreas Baumann (Partner, Vienna) was responsible for the tax due diligence and tax structuring. Rödl & Partner’s Austrian cooperation partner PHH Prochaska Havranek Rechtsanwälte GmbH & Co KG conducted the legal due diligence and the SPA negotiations.
