Paris, 14 September 2017: Zurflüh-Feller, the European leader for the design and manufacture of systems and components for roller shutters, acquired all shares in Eckermann GmbH, a company based in Germany and specialised in the manufacture of components and accessories for roller shutters. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The acquisition by Zurflüh-Feller allows the company to gain new market share in Germany. For Eckermann, it represents the opportunity to secure future operations. The two companies complement each other in both industrial and sales terms. Zurflüh-Feller and Eckermann will maintain their respective brands and market presence. An international M&A team of Rödl & Partner, led by Aurélia Froissart, advised Zurflüh-Feller on the acquisition of Eckermann GmbH. The focal points of the advisory service included legal, tax, financial and environmental due diligence. Rödl & Partner also advised the buyer on financial and tax issues during negotiations and in the course of M&A deal structuring.
Zurflüh-Feller, founded in 1920 and based in Noirefontaine (Doubs, France), makes components and accessories for roller shutters (fasteners, belt drivers, cranks, winches, locking devices, etc.). Zurflüh-Feller is the leading French manufacturer of components for roller shutters, with a turnover amounting to more than 67 million euros with 350 employees and two production sites. The company controls its entire production chain and has an extensive patent portfolio. Its customers are manufacturers and distributors of roller shutters in 35 countries (20% of export turnover). In September 2015, Zurflüh-Feller had already acquired Profilmar, a company specialised in accessories for industrial closures. Zurflüh-Feller is held by Edify, an investment company listed on the Euro MTF market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
