The energy transition is one of the greatest challenges facing us at the beginning of the 21st century. For this reason, all those involved must be aware of the extraordinary responsibility that this entails. The challenge for the energy industry, not just in Germany, but worldwide, will be to generate renewable energy in a way that is competitive compared to conventional energy sources and thereby be able to sell outside of feed-in tariff systems in order to make the necessary contribution to environmental protection.
