On 7 September 2021, the Central Bank of Myanmar announced the change of the financial year 2022-2023 towards the old dates of 1st April to 31st March of the following year.
This change generally applies from 1st results in an additional short financial year with a 6-months duration, starting on 1st October 2021 and ending on 31st March 2022. Companies are required to file an annual return for the short financial year accordingly.
