Rödl & Partner Italy in partnership with Consulnet Italia received the Sustainability Award

On 11 November 2021, the LC Sustainability Awards 2021 were held at the Four Seasons in Milan. An evening entirely dedicated to sustainability where awards were given in various categories: financial, economic, governance, innovation, gender balance in companies, environment, diversity, guarantee of rights.

A total of 30 awards were given to companies and law firms that, on the basis of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles, have distinguished themselves for their commitment to sustainability.

These include the SIrcle - Integrated Sustainability team. The team is made up of 20 professionals: it is an interdisciplinary team that involves professionals from both Consulnet Italia and Rödl & Partner Italy and that involves lawyers, accountants and business consultants working side by side.

Professionals from Rödl & Partner and Consulnet Italia have participated in working groups, internal training and courses aimed at exchanging skills on sustainability issues and enriching each other's knowledge. As a result of these discussions, which also contributed to the development and definition of an internal sustainability culture, assistance and consultancy solutions were implemented for companies to develop sustainability projects.

In the context of SIrcle - Integrated Sustainability, the reciprocal experiences and competences, those of Rödl & Partner in legal and fiscal matters and those of Consulnet Italia in strategic consultancy, organizational development and management systems to provide companies with integrated assistance and support on sustainability, come together. An integrated and holistic approach, strong in vertical competences, can guarantee to companies a sustainable growth, able to lead the business towards the future and the acquisition of new competitive advantages.

The EASI® Model was born with this objective in mind, to respond to the growing demand for new sustainable business models and governance. It brings together all the requirements that an organization must meet and integrate in order to comply with ESG sustainability principles:

• environmental (e.g. environmental impact, sustainable procurement, circular economy)
• social (e.g. human rights, working conditions, health and safety at work)
• governance and business continuity

The EASI® model helps generate internal and external vision and awareness through concrete content and actions, and supports the creation of a structured, step-by-step path to sustainable growth and effective communication with all stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders and the community at large.

This is the first sustainability governance model to be recognised as a Management System for Certification purposes by Accredia, the sole Italian accreditation body for certification and inspection bodies and testing and calibration laboratories. Certification of the EASI® model may be of interest to all those organisations that need to demonstrate their willingness and ability to undertake a path of sustainable development, to monitor it and to systematically improve it over time, in compliance with mandatory market requirements and the demands of their stakeholders.
