Medication and medical device criminal law

PrintMailRate-it

The provisions for crimes related to medication law can be found in the Medicines Act (Arzneimittelgesetz, AMG), which regulates the handling of medicinal products and also contains criminal provisions. The Medical Devices Act (MPG), regulates the requirements for medical devices and thus ensures the safety and performance of medical devices as well as the health protection of patients, users and third parties.

This area of law is subject to very strict regulation and thus to the watchful eye of the authorities. Violations can have criminal and regulatory consequences. In this respect, it is important to argue with the competent authorities and courts.
